Admissions

In order to gain entry into The Boswells Sixth Form all students must achieve a minimum of 40 points from their best 8 GCSE subjects, including a minimum grade 4 in English Language and Maths.  This is calculated by adding up their points on the new numerical scale 1-9. Students must achieve a miminum of grade 6 in any subject they wish to study at A level.

Applications can be made following the Sixth Form Open Evening in November.  Upon receipt of the application form we will look carefully at the course selection and an interview with a member of Senior Leadership may be arranged to explore subject choice and give further advice.  During the spring term of Year 11 we will send confirmation of places and details of the chosen subjects.

Applications will open on the 6th November following open evening on 5th November 6-8pm.

We also welcome applications from students attending other schools.  Once an application has been received we will contact your existing school for a reference and a place will be offered following an interview.
